BALI, Indonesia – July 23, 2025 – This summer, Lacoste brings the spirit of the French Riviera to Bali with “The French Wave”, a month-long beach club takeover at The Lawn Canggu from July 23 to August 22. Celebrating the effortless elegance of French summer style, the activation invites guests to immerse themselves in cinematic nostalgia, curated experiences, and playful beachside moments.
Lacoste Summer Premiere: A Cinematic Opening Night
The celebration kicks off with the Lacoste Summer Premiere on July 23, transforming The Lawn into an open-air cinema under the stars. Guests will arrive via a branded green carpet, setting the tone for an evening of retro glamour and Riviera charm. The highlight of the night is a screening of Blue Jeans (1958) by French New Wave auteur Jacques Rozier—a romantic ode to summer love on the Côte d’Azur.
Adding to the ambiance, a floating cinema screen, retro concession stands, and a DJ spinning French disco will transport guests to a bygone era of analog artistry and timeless style.
Art Meets Nature: The Leaf Crocodile
At the heart of the venue stands a striking six-metre Lacoste crocodile sculpture, handcrafted from leaves by Balinese artisans, Make a Scene. This installation is a tribute to both Lacoste’s iconic emblem and the island’s deep-rooted connection to nature and craftsmanship.
A Star-studded Summer Party
The French Wave opening night will be a dazzling convergence of Southeast Asia’s most stylish tastemakers and cultural icons. From fashion-forward creators to lifestyle leaders, the guestlist includes local influencers Eliz & Agnes Rahajeng, Debi Sagita, Marco Ivanos, Reggy Alexander, and overseas fashionistas Bela Padilla, Max Collins, Patricia Henson, Eyka Farhana, Nguyễn Cao Kỳ Duyên, as well as heartthrobs Glenn Yong, Yaung, Liên Bỉnh Phát and many more.
